Napa is an old City by California standards, founded in 1847. It’s a place with a colorful past – a jumping off point for 49ers bound for the gold rush, birthplace of famous leather, and neighbor to some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world.

The City has more than 48 parks that cover 800 acres of park land. The City’s park system consists of a variety of recreation attractions, such as parks, open space, playgrounds, sport fields, a golf course, the Napa River and miles of natural and paved trails for walking, biking and hiking.
