The iShares Edge MSCI USA Size Factor ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 483,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 32,000. Shares of SIZE were trading flat on the day.

In trading on Thursday, the Junior Gold Miners ETF is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Golden Star Resources, up about 5.4% and shares of New Gold, up about 4.4% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF, where 7,500,000 units were destroyed, or a 5.7% decrease week over week. And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the PAPR ETF, which lost 1,450,000 of its units, representing a 29.4% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.

Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the The Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund, which added 5,450,000 units, or a 1.9% increase week over week. And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the KFYP ETF, which added 200,000 units, for a 40.0% increase in outstanding units.

The iShares US Oil Equipment & Services ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 103,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 46,000. Shares of IEZ were down about 1.9% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the USMC ETF, where 7,350,000 units were destroyed, or a 13.0% decrease week over week. And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bear 3X Shares, which lost 4,250,000 of its units, representing a 37.8% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.

Among the largest underlying components of GDX, in morning trading today Newmont Goldcorp is up about 1.7%, and Barrick Gold is up by about 1.6%.
