The iShares ESG MSCI USA ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 2.9 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 64,000. Shares of ESGU were trading flat on the day.

In trading on Tuesday, the Gold Miners ETF is outperforming other ETFs, up about 2.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Detour Gold, up about 8.1% and shares of Barrick Gold, up about 4.8% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the SPDR Gold Shares, where 7,200,000 units were destroyed, or a 2.4% decrease week over week. And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares UltraShort Consumer Services, which lost 25,000 of its units, representing a 28.6% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.

Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, which added 26,750,000 units, or a 3.0% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPY, in morning trading today Microsoft is up about 0.5%, and Apple is lower by about 0.1%.

The iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Small-Cap ETF (EEMS) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 692,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 43,000. Shares of EEMS were down about 1.1% on the day.

In trading on Monday, the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 10.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Whiting Petroleum (WLL), up about 54.1% and shares of California Resources (CRC), up about 34.9% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares US Treasury Bond ETF (GOVT), where 7,400,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.4% decrease week over week. And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the WBIA ETF (WBIA), which lost 200,000 of its units, representing a 36.4% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest increase in inflows was the USEP ETF (USEP), which added 50,000 units, for a 40.0% increase in outstanding units.

The CEF Municipal Income ETF (XMPT) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 79,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 27,000. Shares of XMPT were down about 1.7% on the day.
