The Vanguard International High Dividend Yield ETF (VYMI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 117,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 44,000. Shares of VYMI were up about 0.4% on the day.

In trading on Monday, the Gold Miners ETF (GDX) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Sibanye Gold (SBGL), up about 5.3% and shares of Osisko Gold Royalties (OR), up about 4.2% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Select Dividend ETF (DVY), where 2,600,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of DVY, in morning trading today Lockheed Martin (LMT) is up about 2.5%, and CME Group (CME) is higher by about 0.4%.

Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio (SPLV), which added 13,250,000 units, or a 8.7% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPLV, in morning trading today Southern Company (SO) is off about 0.4%, and DTE Energy Company (DTE) is up by about 0.3%.

The PowerShares S&P 500 High Dividend Low Volatility Portfolio ETF (SPHD) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 2.3 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 558,000. Shares of SPHD were up about 0.6% on the day.

In trading on Friday, the iShares Latin America 40 ETF (ILF) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 4.7% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Gerdau (GGB), up about 9.8% and shares of Itau Unibanco Banco Multiplo (ITUB), up about 6.8% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the SPDR Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL), where 6,399,539 units were destroyed, or a 15.6% decrease week over week. And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares CDS Short North American HY Credit ETF (WYDE), which lost 50,000 of its units, representing a 33.3% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.

Among the largest underlying components of EZU, in morning trading today NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) is up about 0.3%, and Aercap Holdings (AER) is higher by about 2.3%.

The Social Media Index ETF (SOCL) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 349,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 64,000. Shares of SOCL were up about 1.6% on the day.

In trading on Thursday, the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (XBI) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of La Jolla Pharmaceutical (LJPC), up about 24.9% and shares of Achillion Pharmaceuticals (ACHN), up about 15.5% on the day.
