The iShares Global Energy ETF (IXC) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 2.1 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 226,000. Shares of IXC were off about 0.7% on the day.

In trading on Tuesday, the iShares US Real Estate ETF (IYR) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of SBA Communications (SBAC), up about 4.1% and shares of American Tower (AMT), up about 3.7% on the day.

Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLI), which added 11,850,000 units, or a 6.5% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLI, in morning trading today Boeing Company (BA) is up about 2.4%, and 3M Company (MMM) is up by about 1.1%.

The SPDR Wells Fargo Preferred Stock ETF (PSK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 470,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 81,000. Shares of PSK were off about 0.2% on the day.
