The Uranium ETF (URA) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 1.9 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 614,000. Shares of URA were down about 1.4% on the day.

In trading on Friday, the SPDR S&P Retail ETF (XRT) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.8% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Foot Locker (FL), up about 8.4% and shares of Nordstrom (JWN), up about 6.1% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares Edge MSCI Min Vol Global ETF (ACWV), where 3,300,000 units were destroyed, or a 7.9% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of ACWV, in morning trading today Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is up about 1%, and Automatic Data Processing (ADP) is higher by about 0.2%.

Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the iShares Core MSCI Total International Stock ETF (IXUS), which added 12,800,000 units, or a 18.8% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of IXUS, in morning trading today Alibaba Group Holding (BABA) is down about 0.2%, and iShares ERUS ETF (ERUS) is lower by about 1.7%.

The Pharmaceutical ETF (PPH) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 2.0 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 243,000. Shares of PPH were up about 1.1% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Japan ETF (EWJ), where 4,500,000 units were destroyed, or a 1.4% decrease week over week. And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the ProShares UltraPro Short Financial Select Sector (FINZ), which lost 43,277 of its units, representing a 23.1% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.

The iShares Global 100 ETF (IOO) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 210,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 51,000. Shares of IOO were down about 0.1% on the day.

In trading on Wednesday, the iShares MSCI China ETF (MCHI) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 0.9% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Netease (NTES), up about 3.4% and shares of Alibaba Group Holding (BABA), up about 2.8% on the day.
