Background:
I retired in 2006 and immediately went back to work part time then full time; 7 years later after retiring twice more and quitting once, I have finally made the transition to retirement. In between working at being retired and blogging about issues important to Boomers at I'm a Sonic Boomer not a Senior, I provide assistance to individuals through coaching, mentoring, and retirement advice as well as help to small business owners with start-up and marketing advice.
I also serve on the executive board of two major charities ( SHARE FAMILY and COMMUNITY SERVICES and HOUSING 43), which runs the Food Bank and provide assistance to those in need through counselling, addiction services and housing, in my home town. When I say I am retired, it just means I now longer work for someone else, I work for myself and I play more than I did when I was working.
Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
